For HOAs in NYC, Super offers an automated compliance monitoring service.

How Super conducts its compliance monitoring

We pull data from NYC.gov’s open databases. These provide us with the last available information on compliance such as open violations, date of major mechanicals installation, or last filed inspection date. We then automate tasks on the appropriate schedule to remind you when the next compliance inspection is due.

When your HOA qualifies for a required inspection but there is no registration or up-to-date data found from these government databases, we will assume that an inspection is needed immediately. You may adjust this if based on your own records if they are more up-to-date.

How do we determine what local building compliance is required?

Super uses your building specs (i.e. number of units, number of floors, elevator type, zoning, square footage, and so on) to identify which types of compliance your building should be filing. This is used to create your compliance checklist and schedule.

How will these appear in Super?

For compliance where we know the date it was last filed, we will create a recurring task to remind you of the next inspection due date. These include boiler inspections, boiler registration, and elevator inspections based on your type of mechanicals. For compliance on a fixed schedule, such as disclosures, property registration, and taxes, we will set up a recurring task based on the mandated filing deadlines.

Some inspections, like sprinkler inspections, must be logged but are not filed with the city. For these, we will add the appropriate tasks with a near-term due date. You should update these with your actual schedule.

In the case where there is no record, Super will default to adding a task to ensure the inspection is completed or confirmed to be unnecessary. You can update it with your more up-to-date records or delete it if it is not needed.

What about compliance outside of NYC?

At this moment, we are automating compliance schedules for buildings within NYC where we have access to city data.

Compliance we support with schedule automation (not all HOAs will require all of these):
